Backcountry cooking

Well, from the time of my entrance into the world of wilderness activities I have been learning and experimenting somewhat with the food items that can be taken to a trip. Freeze-dried specialty stuff have proved to be rather tasteless. Well, it is light. And I think I can survive some time on it. But nothing replaces good food after a long hard day.

So, today I found one more useful source – http://www.freezerbagcooking.com.

The basic idea behind this site is rather simple (even though it may look complicated at first). You put all of the ingredients of a meal into one zip-lock bag. Then just put hot water into it in a trip and you are done. Pretty much what I was doing. Just the site has a lot of new meal ideas. Good to know.
